Is there anyone who tried the exercise from part 2?
It was very powerful for me.
To start with, it gave me back the CONTROL.
Because the biggest mistake, and a trap is to believe that REASONS of what we feel are OUTSIDE of us. That it is always SOMEONE ELSE to blame/or thank for what we feel.
But it is US who CHOOSE the reaction. The THOUGHT and the FEELING that follows.
It is very interesting to OBSERVE.
As for me, it made me question most of my emotional reactions to things that happen to me. To words that I hear.

It is not always easy to deal with this gift :)
Responsibility can be heavy to carry.
But MOST of the times it gives you FREEDOM of choice.
Choice NOT TO REACT emotionally. Keep calm.
Suddenly there is noone who is AGAINST you. Not even you yourself.

Loads of Love and a blessed Saturday to All.

When I change the way of looking at things I will also SEE them differently.
When I slow down I see the beauty of small things.
The quality of life changes.
The BIG PICTURE is important, so that I know which way to NAVIGATE, but it is those small things that make a difference on a daily basis.

Today, in a one million residents' city I met this little creature :)
Such a lovely reward for paying attention. Make the walking your exercise in mindfullness, not only transportation from A to B.
And have a lovely 'slow down' weekend.

Love to All.

It is amazong what our excited brain is capable of.
Like waking up before the alarm goes off after 3 hours of sleep.
Be well.
Love to All.

Link to Part 1.
So maybe you don't really believe what I'm saying.
That if we FEEL bad we probably THINK bad and can CHANGE it by thinking differently.

If you let me, I will guide you through a very simple experiment. It will not take more than 2 minutes.
(Read through the whole instruction please before you start :)

Close your eyes for a moment and try to remember the last time you met someone really dear to you. Try to think about the whole situation: what you did, where you were, picture all this to yourself in your mind, and above all, try to remember how it made you feel.
Can you remember the feeling?
Try to stay with that feeling and this dear person for few seconds in your mind.
Then stop thinking of this person.
Is the feeling gone too?

Even if it is gone directly, you have just made yourself happy (or sad? or mad? or...?) only with the help of your own thoughts.

I told you that!

Love to All.

To begin a new day being vibrant and alive.

To look at the world and believe that ANYTHING is possible.

That there is no reason why GOOD THINGS should not happen to me, you, all of us, TODAY.

All these are just a THOUGHT away from us!

***

We are what we eat.

We eat what we are.

And we BECOME what we THINK.

Because THOUGHTS control our feelings.

(I MEAN IT!!!)

Will you agree with me, that each feeling begins with a thought?

When your friend doesn't call on your birthday, you get sad. But it doesn't happen automatically, your brain produces a thought first: This is my big day and he/she forgot. Don't I mean anything for him/her...?"

It so happens that those thoughts we often CHOOSE to think are those which serve us WORST, not BEST.

Because then we can PITY ourselves.

I know, I've been there

But imagine being able to take CONTROL of our thought.

Not like literally each and every of those 80.000 thoughts we have each day (TRUE!) but at least those which drag us down and make us feel sorry for ourselves.

I now challenge you with these words:

“Don’t always believe what you think!” (A reminder on my fridge!)

Believe instead that you can CHOOSE how you FEEL by CHOOSING right THOUGHTS.

Would that change the quality of your life? Would that have an impact on every single day you and I have left on this Planet?

I believe so and I am a living example that it is possible to change the course of our thought. As soon as we become AWARE of them.

I wish you that. And Love to All.

I’ve been thinking. I went public with this blog less than two weeks ago. Some kind of chart shows me that it was opened nearly 700 times by more than 100 people. Which feels incredible.

But I have received TWO comments so far, one of which was written by my Husband so it does not really count

Hats off for the amazing girl who wrote to me today

And a humble reminder to all the rest of you that whenever my words push any buttons in you, please push the comment (Kommentera) button and write to me. It would be lovely to find out what you think.

Perhaps I am the only one on this planet questioning my previous life style and beliefs? But I doubt that.

And those who don’t? Perhaps they should!

Remember that you can also share (Dela) my words with others if there is a slightest chance that they could benefit anyone out there struggling.

As always, Love to All.

Last week's 'post yoga' text made me think of 'don't update your facebook status when drunk'.
Yoga has almost the same effect, only much less poisonuous.
Healing rather.
It puts all the pieces together and alignes body and mind to serve you.
There is so little space in life to put the whole attention on restoring yourself. Being with yourself.
Yoga mat is an invitation to one on one meeting behind closed eyelids...

Love to All.

Together with my Boy’s growing building interest we have gradually become a LEGO family. Somewhere around Christmas we lost a dining room’s table due to LEGO expansion.

I am trying to participate, because moms can too!!! I introduce house on a tree/garden/grill/casual “human” activities but I am BORED TO DEATH after a while because it always ends with cars/castles/boats/missiles etc.

So finally I came up with a fantastic idea how NOT to be bored while building LEGO with my Son.

I claimed half of the dining room’s table and I made it to my jigsaw puzzle station.

Problem solved! Sometimes we sit together in total silence SEVERAL MINUTES and just enjoy our separate activities together.

Why is puzzling beneficial for people like me? Stressed weirdos, that is.

When I start a 1000-1500 pieces work there is no meaning or use in trying to proceed as fast as possible. It must take its time. I learn to observe each piece at a time; I learn how to patiently just familiarize myself with the motive.

When I work there is enough space for me to observe my physical reactions. My pulse rising, my eyeballs chasing several details simultaneously. The more I struggle the poorer results. So I lean back, breathe and redirect myself back to the slow motion.

I train my muscle of SINGLEPOINTED ATTENTION. It is almost like meditation.

If you ever have a chance to put your hands on one of Jan van Haasteren’s works, do not hesitate. They are lovely, very detailed and funny pictures. No matter what motive it is, you can always find a shark’s fin or a Santa hidden somewhere, or a toothbrush. I fell in love with them anyway. It is nothing like fluffy kittens, waterfalls or even Eiffel tower against a completely blue sky ;)

Love to All.

Btw, according to my husband’s definition LEGO is a three dimensional puzzle with your own motive. Clever!
